to set up straps
~ both fins are the same (no left or right)
~ one long strap for each fin
This may already be done when you get your fins. If not, then fit one strap to each fin like this.
~ wet strap first
~ hold fin with shinfin.com logo facing up
~ push half of strap down one ankle slot
~ check strap is not twisted
~ push other half down other ankle slot
~ pull tight for equal lengths behind fin
Both fins should look the same, like these front and back views.
 
Strap one fin to fit your left leg, the other to fit your right leg. Left fin will be a mirror image of right fin.
~ wet strap again
~ hold fin on front of leg and point your toes
~ fin tip centre reaches end of middle toe
~ strap lies on each side of your ankle
~ select the strap at inside of ankle
~ pull it diagonally around leg to outside buckle
~ push it up the outer slot (follow fin arrow)
~ pull it comfortably tight around your leg
~ push it down the inner slot - bend buckle away from leg to help, and also see: buckle design
~ pull strap through to lock buckle
~ this side of the strap now fits your leg
~ the other side of the strap is still loose
~ twist fin and slide fin off your leg
Strap other fin to fit your other leg. Your left and right fins should be mirror images like this.
