~ start with this standard position on leg
~ fin tip centre reaches end of middle toe
~ straps cross over just above ankle
(narrowest part of leg, so straps don’t slip)
~ try sliding fin up, down, left and right
~ usually no need to unbuckle
~ you will soon feel best position for your kick
 
~ slide down for stronger forward and back kicks
(fin tip may go past your toes)
~ slide up for softer forward and back kicks
(fin tip may touch your foot arch)
~ tighten strap for stronger back kick
(without changing forward kick)
~ loosen strap for softer back kick
(without changing forward kick)
~ twist fin around leg to be across kick direction
(fin tip centre may touch your big or little toes)
