Do shinfin™ fins stay on securely in big surf?

Regular fins often get ripped off by the force of big surf. Then they get lost and sink to the sea bed. I see lots of fins washed up on beaches. Sometimes the fins are intact. But often the foot pockets have torn or the heel straps have broken.

It can be dangerous suddenly losing fins in the surf. You lose the extra fin power, probably when you most need it. Replacing fins is expensive too.

I’d far rather have fins that I know will stay on securely, even if I am dumped by a big wave. That would be much safer and cheaper. Can I rely on these fins staying on securely in big surf?

Yes, they do stay on securely, even in big surf.

The straps fit securely around the narrowest part of your leg, which is just above your ankle. Your heel is much wider, so the fin doesn’t slip down over your heel because the straps would just get tighter.

The high quality, natural rubber straps are easily strong enough to withstand the surf forces. Unlike regular fins, there is no weak foot pocket to tear or heel strap to rip off.

The fins are extremely durable and will last you many years of regular use.

Now you can rely on your fins staying on in big surf. And you won’t have the expense of replacing lost fins either.

    Cheers, Marc.
