Help weak freestyle kick: pool training fins

Pool training with shinfinTM fins helps Guy to improve his weak freestyle kick. They train a proper freestyle kick with power from his hips. So they use the stronger muscles in his thighs and torso.

Guy’s review from London, UK

“My weak spot is my freestyle kick, and the fins certainly do ‘what it says on the tin’, and have helped a lot.”

Guy’s review: Pool training fins to help weak freestyle kick

“Been travelling a lot recently, hence late reply (and training much less than I expected!) I’m very happy with the fins. My weak spot is my freestyle kick, and the fins certainly do ‘what it says on the tin’, and have helped a lot.”

“Still occasionally struggling to get them on such they they stay comfortable and well-positioned, but I think that’s due to not training often enough due to the travelling. Unfortunately I don’t work for a company that will pay for a hotel with a decent pool every time!”

Many thanks for your reply. That’s great. We get lots of good feedback like this, about kick improvement and indeed improvements in overall swimming technique and speed. Keep up the training as you travel!

Here is the latest version of the tips. Are you wetting the straps first? Because that helps to get the strap tension around your leg adjusted properly first time. Also, please see the tips at the end about adjusting the straps when you are wearing the fins.

Conclusion

If you have a weak freestyle kick, then pool training with shinfinTM fins will help you to improve your kick technique. Their natural flex guides you into the correct freestyle kick and then strengthens you for it as you train more. They also improve your swimming if you have weak arms.
