  • Both ankles fused: easy to walk snorkeling fins

With both ankles fused, Gary finds shinfinTM fins fantastic, giving extra propulsion for snorkeling plus easy to walk in. Because they strap above his ankles, they reduce his fused ankle foot drag by directing water flow over the tops of his feet. Their adjustable fit means he can position them to suit his fused ankles, so they stay securely in place.

    Gary’s review from Minneapolis, USA

“They worked fantastic!!! Perfect thing for someone who has both feet fused. Easy to walk in, stay in place and is a big difference to not wearing any. You need to add more information on your website as to the benefits for fused ankles. Great idea and invention!!! As an engineer, I was thinking of ideas and when I saw these I knew you nailed it.”

  • Fused ankle Masters Swimming fins

Darlene has a fused ankle with very little ankle flexibility and loves the power and speed of shinfinTM fins for her Masters club training, swimming about a mile a day. They work so comfortably for her because they strap to her legs above her ankles. So they don’t strain her fused ankle and the fins remain streamlined along her legs. Furthermore, she finds them great for working her thighs and hips because they guide her to kick from her hips. Understandably, she finds all regular foot fins impossible to use, having tried all kinds.

Darlene’s review from The Woodlands, USA

“I love the fins. They really are comfortable and help so much with power and speed. I have the fused ankle which makes it impossible to use a regular foot fin. But fused ankle or not, they are great for working your thighs and hips. I use them for Masters Swimming. I have a fused ankle with very little flexibility.”

  • Power, wave control & push off: body surfing fins

For Doug (previously a professional lifeguard), the key body surfing benefits of shinfinTM fins are a strong punch of power, control in the wave and feet free to push off from the bottom. He gets the power he needs because shinfinTM fins are hip powered by the larger muscles in his thighs, buttocks, stomach and torso. Control to get into the wave pocket happens because the fins are on his legs, not his feet. What’s more, a wave slamming and rolling him doesn’t rip them off, unlike foot flippers.

Doug’s review from Venice Beach, USA

“I’ve been using the fins extensively. I got a strong punch of power out of the shinfinTM fins. And just like you guys said, I got an impressive increase in control while in the wave. But here is what was really cool. Because of the design of the shinfinTM fins, I was able to plant my feet firmly on the bottom/reef and push off and kick. It takes the right tide level to pull this off. But when you can do it, it’s awesome. It allows you to get into waves and places in the wave I’ve only seen dolphins utilize! It seems that the added vector control realized by the shinfinTM fins allows me to control angle of descent and climb. This equates to the ability to get into the wave pocket, which is really what it’s all about!”

“I just realized something else Marc. When I got rag-dolled on that first wave, any normal fin would have most likely been ripped off my feet (it’s happened before). My shinfinTM fins were moved around but I still had them! And that’s what’s counts.”

  • Walk, stand & maneuver easily: powerful body surfing fins

shinfinTM fins give Pete powerful body surfing and also let him walk and stand in the water, and maneuver easily to catch waves. This is because they attach to his legs, so his feet are free. Furthermore, kick power comes from his hips, using the stronger muscles in his thighs, buttocks and torso. So his end result is better control on the waves, faster body surfing and less fatigue.

Pete’s review from Harrington Park, USA

“They’re great. Biggest benefit is you don’t have to put them on in the water. And you can walk in the ocean with them on. Plus, they give you plenty of power to get the fatter waves. And when you want to take a break from swimming, you can stand in them. Big plus, as you can’t stand in the water with regular fins on.”

“Took my shinfinTM fins with me on my world body surfing tour this summer. They worked great, especially taking into consideration the vicious shore break there. They are very easy to maneuver around in once you are out there too. And no problem standing at all when you are only up to your waist, to take a break. You can walk in as opposed to swimming in all the time, so the fatigue factor is much less.”

  • Faster paddling & wave catching: bodyboarding fins

Liz’s shinfinTM fins give her faster, easier paddling on her bodyboard and extra speed for catching waves. She paddles out lying horizontal on her bodyboard, doing freestyle arms and kicking at the same time. Sharing the power like this, she finds it faster and much less tiring on her arms and legs. The same faster paddling and wave catching benefits also apply to kneeboarding and surfing.

Liz’s review from Guernsey, Channel Islands

“I first want to say how great they are. I have been using them bodyboarding and they are a fantastic step forward from old style fins. They seem to really add extra speed to bodyboarding. They’re especially great for getting some extra momentum going on waves that have almost been missed. Also make paddling out much easier which helps to catch those big waves. I have been paddling out lying horizontal on the board and the fins really add some power. So it’s much less tiring on the legs and arms. Thanks for a great product 🙂.”

  • Proper stroke & breathing & position: triathlon training fins

Triathlon training with shinfinTM fins streamlines Charles’ body position, balances his breathing, lengthens his stroke and properly uses the larger muscles in his glutes. This all happens because shinfinTM fins lift his body more horizontal, train more powerful kicking from his hips and give him correct freestyle timing. Most importantly, this transfers to give him a faster, smoother and more efficient freestyle technique.

    Charles’ review from Queens, USA

“In a nutshell, I luv em! My shinfinTM fins recruit the larger muscle groups in my glutes. So I am now using less energy for the same amount of distance. They assist me in developing a feel for proper body position in the water. I was able to stretch out and really get a feel of my stroke. So I could definitely feel a better balance as far as my breathing goes. Which in turn encourages me to lengthen my stroke. WAY COOL! I am definitely improving. I was able to keep proper form for a longer period of time. Thanks for such an innovative product.”

  • Fast sprint & comfortable, light: kneeboarding fins

Comfortable and light, Graham’s shinfinTM fins give him a fast sprint speed on his kneeboard to catch waves. They don’t give him foot cramps like regular foot fins and they are comfortable when kneeling on his kneeboard. Furthermore, they leave his feet free to walk and jump off rocks, for easier water entry.

    Graham’s review from Maroochydore, Australia

“The fins are definitely a breakthrough. Good sprint speed for catching the waves (kneeboard). Comfortable in kneeling position. Very comfortable and no foot cramp. Easy to walk and jump off rocks for water entry.”

  • Better leg workout: swim training fins

Barry gets a better, whole leg workout when swim training with his shinfinTM fins fins. The fins adjust to fit him fine even though he is 6 foot 5 inches tall with big feet. Furthermore, they don’t hurt his ankles like regular fins. He says he is flying through the water with his shinfinTM fins fins.

    Barry’s review from Vienna, USA

shinfinTM fins are clearly a superior product. I absolutely love my fins and am really glad that I made the purchase. Thanks for making such a great product and having wonderful customer service. I really appreciate it. What I like best about them is that they encourage you to use your whole leg as opposed to just your ankle to kick. I am delighted by the fact that these don’t hurt my ankles anymore.”

  • Rough seas & current: snorkeling fins

Snorkeling with shinfinTM fins powered Joanne and her sister safely through rough seas and currents. So the fins meant they could keep up with the stronger swimmers in their group. Furthermore, her sister did not get sore feet because shinfinTM fins don’t enclose your feet like regular flippers.

    Joanne’s review from Curtin, Australia

“shinfinTM fins were excellent. Despite not being strong swimmers, we could keep up with rest of the strapping young men in rough seas and current. So they were very good and I am very happy with them.”

  • Improve fin-free swim technique

By swimming with shinfinTM fins, Matt has improved his fin-free kick technique too. So the fins corrected his kick technique and that transferred to him swimming faster without fins as well. He was so happy with them that he bought a pair for his 81 year old grandfather.

Matt’s review from Tannum Sands, Australia

“The fins are fantastic. They have encouraged me to kick correctly. I’ve found my ‘fin-free’ technique has improved to a considerable extent. Either that or they’ve shortened the pool! Great idea, great product – Cheers!”
