Snorkeling fins reviews

  • No back pain & can wear with shoes: snorkeling fins

With shinfinTM fins Bjorn can snorkel with no back pain, unlike with his foot fins, and also wear them with reef shoes. So now he can walk into and out of the water with ease, and snorkel for hours in comfort. Furthermore, he very much likes their natural swimming feel, kicking from his hips, similar to good normal swimming. Most of all, he doesn’t have to give up snorkeling!

Bjorn’s review from Currumbin Valley, Australia

“I have to say that they were absolutely fantastic! I have previously felt back pain after using normal feet fins when using them for as little as 1 hour. So I was about to give up my new found love of snorkeling all together. This time, I was in the water for many hours over several days and I never once felt any back pain! Truly remarkable! Not only were the shinfinTM fins great for my back, but they allowed me to swim while wearing my flexible reef boots. Which allowed very easy getting in and out of the water and walking over the hard coral beaches, while others looked on with curious envy. Overall I am extremely satisfied and can say that I absolutely love my shinfinTM fins!”

  • Training, water running & snorkeling fins

Peggy values the multipurpose nature of shinfinTM fins for her swim training, water running, snorkeling and open water swimming. She finds they help her immensely with body positioning, balance and overall compatibility with the water. This is because they promote a smooth swimming style and leave her feet free. Of course, this also allows her to walk into the water for snorkeling.

    Peggy’s review from Saskatchewan, Canada

“I want to use the fins for swim training, water running and snorkeling. What a difference! Kicking seemed so effortless, yet effective. With almost no effort, I was cruising past people I normally don’t pass. Then I played, dolphined down the pool, tried some water running and had a great time. I’m sure I’ll enjoy them enormously, and will spread the word here. It is about balance, and I loved the way I felt more ‘compatible’ with the water.”

(Later) I continue to love the fins, and wore them snorkeling in Aruba with great success. People who were backing through the water with traditional fins did display some jealousy that I was able to walk straight in. I treasure them and will continue to take them ‘on tour’ with me wherever my swimsuit and goggles go.”

  • Better snorkeling control & lap swimming fins

Like many people, Jan Carlos uses his shinfinTM fins for multiple activities, finding them great for lap swimming and giving more control when snorkeling. As he feels, this is because they target the correct muscles to give him a powerful kick from his hips. Moreover, their extra control, together with leaving his feet free and not protruding beyond his toes, reduces unwanted damage to frail coral reefs (unlike long foot fins).

Juan Carlos’ review from Brisbane, Australia

“Overall, I’m very happy with my shinfinTM fins. Thanks for a great product and for the support. The initial experience could be a bit disappointing, but in no time you find the benefits. You feel the target muscles working. They are working great for my lap swimming. For snorkeling, they worked fine and you feel you are more in control when trying not to damage the frail coral reefs.”

  • No tired ankles or chafed heels: snorkeling fins

Afton enjoys snorkeling with shinfinTM fins because they don’t give him tired ankles or chafed heels like traditional foot fins. This because they encourage him to kick with his whole leg, without ankle strain or Achilles pain. They streamline his entire body to snorkel faster. Plus, there is no heel strap to rub or chafe. So he can snorkel comfortably for longer. Tough and lightweight, they are also easier to pack for snorkeling trips. Furthermore, they stay on in waves.

Afton’s review from St. George, USA

“I just returned from a snorkeling trip in Bermuda. I enjoyed using my shinfinTM fins. With traditional fins I ended up with tired ankles and the strap chafing on my heel. On this trip I was always the last one out and felt the same as when I first went in. I will definitely recommend them. shinfinTM ON!”

  • Rough seas & current: snorkeling fins

Snorkeling with shinfinTM fins powered Joanne and her sister safely through rough seas and currents. So the fins meant they could keep up with the stronger swimmers in their group. Furthermore, her sister did not get sore feet because shinfinTM fins don’t enclose your feet like regular flippers.

    Joanne’s review from Curtin, Australia

“shinfinTM fins were excellent. Despite not being strong swimmers, we could keep up with rest of the strapping young men in rough seas and current. So they were very good and I am very happy with them.”

  • Kick with whole leg: snorkeling fins

Steve notices thatshinfinTM fins encourage him to kick from his hip with his whole leg when he snorkels. So he finds he uses far less energy and doesn’t get tired because streamlining his body to swim faster is more efficient. Also, his feet are free to wear his shinfinTM fins with diving boots so he can safely walk in and out of the water, avoiding sharp objects and marine life in reef areas.

    Steve’s review from Perth, Australia

“For snorkeling they are excellent, being able to walk in and out of the water quite easily. By using the whole of the leg as a kicking action, you use far less energy and do not get tired.”

  • Great control & no foot pain: snorkeling fins

Bill gets great control and maneuverability, without any foot pain, when he snorkels and swims with shinfinTM fins. This is because they leave his feet free and don’t bend or hurt his feet. In contrast, normal flippers aggravate his feet so they only allow him to swim for short periods.

    Bill’s review from Rockingham, Australia

“The shinfinTM fins were perfect. Everything I had hoped they would be. Great control and maneuverability. Best of all no pain in the foot. So I was in the water till I turned blue. Many thanks for a great invention.”

  • Light & easy to pack: snorkeling & swimming fins

Urzsula finds it easier traveling with shinfinTM fins for snorkeling and swimming trips because they are so light and easy to pack compared to regular foot flippers. Urszula ordered a couple of pairs for herself and her friend. She found them great for snorkeling and swimming once she became used to them. The fins guide you into a natural kick action, which may not be familiar to some people at first. Also, once you put them on a few times, you naturally adjust the fin position for the best result.

Urszula’s review from Wembley Downs, Australia

“Yes the fins are great. We took them to Thailand and used them for swimming and snorkeling. They are also light and easy to pack!”

  • Better balance, safer: water therapy fins

Following a heart attack and some strokes, Lyn’s father (81) balances better and feels safer using shinfinTM fins for his water therapy. They make it easier and safer for him to walk and stand in the water because they leave his feet free. He finds the smooth kick from his entire leg much easier because they lift his body more horizontal and streamlined.

    Lyn’s review from Sydney, Australia

Congratulations on an excellent product and great sales and service. The shinfinTM fins have been fantastic, as they are easy to move in while entering the water and allow him to maintain balance easier while standing in the water. The distribution of the energy through the entire leg, rather than just the ankle, also means it is much easier and takes less energy, to kick. The confidence factor, in that he feels safer, is also important.”

  • Above knee amputee: snorkeling with prosthetic leg fins

Shaun is an above knee amputee who snorkels wearing a pair of shinfinTM fins, one fin on his prosthetic leg and the other fin on his shin. He is very happy with them, especially because of the easier water entry, water exit and streamlined kicking propulsion technique. Also, he highly values that the fins are light and compact enough to fit into his small carry-on backpack, for ultralight traveling. His story is very useful for above knee amputees and below knee amputees swimming with waterproof prosthetic legs, for snorkeling and other water activities too.

Shaun’s review from Redondo Beach, USA

“The shinfinTM fins worked great for me and had a ton of benefits. Overall I couldn’t be happier.”
