Broken bone & torn ligament in foot: snorkeling fins

Trishalana is very pleased that she can snorkel with her shinfinTM fins, even though she has a torn ligament and broken bone in her foot. This is because the fins strap comfortably above her ankles. So they don’t add extra pressure on her feet or cause her any foot pain like regular foot fins would. She can put on her fins in the water, and swim out and snorkel easily with them, even in choppy seas. Or she can put on her fins in the boat, and walk to exit the boat. Afterwards, she can climb up the boat ladder whilst still wearing her fins. shinfinTM fins are light and durable to make all this possible.

Trishalana’s review from Kearneysville, USA

“I am just returning from my Caribbean cruise where I snorkeled twice while away. The first time was straight off the beach. I was able to put them on in the water with little issue. I swam easily out, around and back in. It was smooth water. The second time was off a boat at a coral reef. I was able to put on the fins and exit the boat. The sea was very choppy but I had no trouble getting around and was able to climb the ladder back into the boat wearing them. I purchased these because I have a torn ligament and broken bone in my foot. These fins did not put any pressure on my foot or cause me any pain. I am very pleased with my experience and the ability it gave me to participate in the activity.”

Trishalana’s review: Snorkeling fins for torn ligament & broken bone in foot

“I live in the United States and leave on a cruise the end of November. I have a broken bone and torn ligament in my foot that isn’t healing. So I need surgery.”

“I am hoping these will allow me to snorkel on my trip by not putting the pressure on the front of my foot that regular fins would.”

“Thank you for making an alternative product for those who can’t use traditional fins.”

I think you will enjoy them for snorkeling. You can even fit one fin higher to further reduce the pressure on your foot.

Thank you very much for your snorkeling review and kind permission to use it. I really appreciate it. I’m very happy to hear you had such a pleasing experience snorkeling with them.

Yes, as you found, you can put your fins on before or after you enter the water. You can walk whilst wearing them, and climb up and down boat ladders too.

And yes, because they strap around just above your ankle, they don’t add extra pressure or twisting forces to your foot or ankle (unlike foot fins). So that is why you are still able to wear them without pain, even though you have a torn ligament and broken bone in your foot.

I’d love to hear from you after you use them again, whenever you get a moment to email me. Any questions just ask. I’m here to help you get the best from your fins.

Many thanks again for your kind review Trishalana.

Conclusion

Even if you have some foot problems such as torn ligaments and broken bones, you can still swim and snorkel with shinfinTM fins. Because the fins strap comfortably above your ankles, they don’t cause foot pain from adding extra pressure on your feet like traditional foot flippers. You can put the fins on in the water or on a boat. You can walk to jump off the boat, and climb down and up boat ladders and steps. Even in choppy seas, you can still swim and snorkel easily. shinfinTM fins are light and durable to make all this possible.

Further reviews show shinfinTM fins being used to help swimmers achieve a flatter swim style without hurting their feet, reduce gout and arthritis foot pains and facilitate aquatic therapy exercises. Other reviews illustrate how the fins also benefit people with feet disabilities and foot amputations.
